Ghana Wins Big at the Golden Movie Awards.

Last Saturday, June 25 2016 saw the second edition of the annual Golden Movie Awards Africa, come off at the five-star Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, Accra.

Call it a night of glitz and glamour with moviemakers and stars from Ghana and Nigeria looking glamorous and dashing.
The awards seek to honour moviemakers and actors for outstanding achievements in a film over the past year.

The show was hosted by former Big Brother Africa contestant and comedian, DKB and the beautiful Anita Erskine of Starr FM.
The night also saw perfomances from Okyeame Kwame and The Darlings, an Afro Pop crew.

Ghana picked up an outstanding number of 23 awards while Nigeria took home 6 awards.
Yvonne Okoro’s “Ghana Must Go” and the Nana Obiri Yeboah directed film, “The Cursed Ones” were the big winners of the night winning four awards each with the British film, The Cursed Ones winning the ultimate Overall Golden Movie.
