After a legendary introduction by the legendary satirist Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM), who has crowned comedian DKB as the new King of Comedy, the comedian whose real name Derick Kobina Bonney was carried on stage in a palanquin as the king he is and was followed by other young comedians who hailed and danced to honour his kingship.

The “Point of View” comedy show was held last Saturday at the National Theatre and DKB’s performance which has been hailed by many who witnessed the event as one of the best ever seen from a Ghanaian comedian, lasted for about an hour amidst loud applause and non-stop laughter. His jokes touched on happenings in Ghana and beyond.

The King of Comedy as the main act for the night was supported by other acts which included Foster, James Brown, comedian Hogan, Jacinta, Khemical, De Nonfa king Ajeezay among others.

Music was not left out of the fun as two of Ghana’s celebrated rappers, Edem and 2016 VGMA artist of the year E.L, entertained the audience to some of their hit songs in turns.
