Following an appeal made to UniBank Ghana Limited by Nana Aba Anamoah and Sandra Ankobiah, the bank has donated an amount of GHc 100,000 to the three national women’s football teams in Ghana.

Presenting the cheque, Executive director of Finance, Retail and Strategy at Unibank, Ekow Nyarko Dadzie-Dennis said that;

“Unibank believes in the development of sports. This is a token to show our commitment to the three national women’s teams. We hope to commit more to the teams in the nearest future and urge others to assist in raising funds for them”

The two tv personalities expressed their appreciation to Unibank and urged other corporate institutions to emulate.
Present at the presentation was the legal director and deputy accountant of the sports ministry.

Earlier this year, the Ministry of Youth and Sports unveiled Nana Aba Anamoah and Sandra Ankobiah as ambassadors for women football in Ghana. The ministry also tasked the two personalities to help raise funds for the three national women’s football teams whose plight has yet to receive major attention.
